Let’s make being bitter sooooo 2017 okay?
Here’s a post I never thought I would write: Why you should stop being bitter on valentines day. Actually, I used to hate valentines day, even when I had a boyfriend/love/whatever. Like, is there a reason you need a certain day to remind me that you like me?
But then I realized, I am into so many holidays that other people don’t like, and I that I know are ridiculous. I.e. Easter, Christmas, any holiday involving good food. So here is why we should just stop feeling aggressively meh about Feb 14th:
-Lots of people look good in red. It’s not like the color of the holiday is neon yellow. At the very least cute red clothes are going to go on sale on the day after.
-Speaking of sales: all the chocolate that goes on sale on Feb 15th. Even if you don’t love love, chances are you love candy. In order for us to spend all our money at Rite Aid the next day, the holiday itself has to happen.
-The history of valentines day is actually kinda cool, if you don’t know it then go check it out.
-People who love valentines day are happy on that day. Being all BAH HUMBUG to THEM doesn’t improve your life, it just makes them feel not good. Stop being childish.
