“Wow, I actually liked what I thought I was going to like!” aka Sincere Enjoyment
Do you ever have those moments where you do/eat/try/find something that you thought might be good, but didn’t one hundred percent believe would be that great? And then it fricken blew you out of the water? I have been experiencing that ALOT lately:
Avocado toast: I like toast. I like avocados. There is no reason I shouldn’t like avocado toast. But EVERY single time I eat it I am so surprised at how good it is. Like seriously, this is a trendy millennial thing for a reason. I am currently eating the best avocado toast of my life at Blank Slate NYC (this is not sponsored but like I would love them to pay me to eat their toast and write about it COUGH COUGH).
New York City: I realize I moved here without having ever visited once. So some part of me had to really believe that it was going to be a nice time. But seven months in and I keep having these moments where I am like “Holy Crap I Moved to New York and I Actually Really Really Like It”. I have met wonderful people, had great food, spent Christmas in Central Park etc. Speaking of which, Central Park is another one of those things that I can’t believe I enjoy as much as I thought I would.
Coffee: Let’s be real, I fall asleep every night excited to wake up in the morning and drink coffee. Yet still every morning I am like “Wow coffee is so lovely”. Every morning.
